Born in Guatemala and raised in Switzerland, Michelle Bloem, also known as The Dancing Doctor, grew up surrounded by Latin music.
She rediscovered her passion for Latin dance over a decade ago and immersed herself in the roots and culture of bachata, learning from Dominican teachers both in the Dominican Republic and across Europe.
Since 2016, Michelle has taught Bachata, Kizomba, and Salsa throughout the Netherlands and at festivals across Europe. She is known for her clear teaching style, playful footwork, musicality, and strong understanding of body movement.
Based in Amsterdam, Michelle is also a medical doctor and researcher, bringing a unique perspective on the connection between dance, movement, and well-being.
At Keloke Bachata Adventures, her mission is simple: share the joy of dance, create connection, and inspire dancers to never stop learning.
