Esmeralda Escaño 🇩🇴
Born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic, Esmeralda Escaño grew up surrounded by music and found in bachata a way to express who she is. She began her dance training at age 11, developing a deep connection to traditional bachata, and started teaching in 2021 with a mission to preserve and share the essence of this genre with respect, authenticity, and passion.
Beyond teaching technique, Esmeralda is driven to inspire other women in the bachata community to believe in their talent and take up space with confidence. For her, bachata is more than a dance, it’s a way to honor her roots, share Dominican culture, and build connections that go beyond borders.
